My name is Alexa Young
​In the heart of Brentwood, a profound bond between a girl and her dog led to the creation of Cherished Pets of Brentwood.
The journey began with Oscar, a white Akita whose presence was both commanding and gentle. Akitas are renowned for their loyalty, courage, and dignified nature. Oscar embodied these traits, serving as a role model for his breed. Anyone fortunate enough to meet him was captivated by his affectionate demeanour and unwavering devotion.​

Together, Oscar and I navigated the challenges of training and socialization, discovering the importance of understanding a dog's unique needs. This journey illuminated a gap in support for dog owners seeking guidance to build harmonious relationships with their pets. Motivated by this realization,
Cherished Pets of Brentwood was established, dedicated to assisting owners and their dogs in achieving fulfilling partnerships.​

The company's logo features Oscar, capturing his essence and the spirit of our mission. His image serves as a reminder of the bond we strive to help others cultivate with their pets.
Though Oscar is no longer physically by my side, his legacy continues to inspire our work. Cherished Pets of Brentwood remains committed to supporting dogs and their owners, ensuring they experience the joy and fulfilment that come from a deep, mutual understanding and loving relationship between dogs and their families.

Doggy School
Not spending as much time as you’d like with your pet? Don’t let your busy schedule interfere with your furry friend’s well-being. Give the care and attention they deserve by taking advantage of our doggy school which is like daycare. but more training-based. Our dig school runs on Tuesday & and Thursday from
7:30am - 6pm.
